We have a Junior Production Artist position available beginning Feb 1st, 2012. Successful candidates will have recently graduated from a college or university photography / video or film / graphics program. On-set digital technicians are welcome to apply however they must possess a strong portfolio that demonstrates their post production skills and experience. The ideal candidate is looking to establish a long-term career in the post production industry.
Primary Responsibilities for this position include:
• raw processing and file optimization for production
• basic retouching and compositing of images for use in commercial advertising and national magazines
• minor colour correction and image enhancement
• constant training and improvement of skills
Qualifications:
• recent graduate of a college or university photography/ video or film / graphics program
• basic knowledge of raw processing software
• intermediate knowledge of Photoshop CS 4/5/5.5
• intermediate knowledge of the entire CS 4/5/5.5 Design Suite / Production Suite
• basic retouching, compositing and colour correcting skills required
• basic colour management experience required
• photo / video capture skills an asset
• must be personable, knowledgeable and comfortable working directly with clients
• have the ability to meet deadlines and follow guidelines and instructions accurately
• have strong communication and organizational skills
Candidates may be asked to take a basic imaging test that includes colour correction and minor retouching. All candidates will be asked to take a colour vision test.
